Two Poems

Two Poems

Anna Akhmatova: Never Ask God for Anything

Andre Breton: Lachez Tout

Text typed using a 1923 Underwood typewriter onto "vellum" paper. Images photocopied from "1920's Fashion Design," published by Pepin Press.

The textblock is sewn on a concertina of Japanese paper; the head of the textblock was dyed blue using acrylics.
The binding is a modified quarter leather, with a three-quarter alum-tawed pigskin with a fuchsia calfskin border along the tail. The corners are alternately alum tawed or calfskin. The pink handmade paper was drummed onto panels and inset into the cover.
