estimate:

actual treatment:
A consultation was held with the client once work commenced, as it was discovered that the leather at the joints was degraded to the point that a full calfskin reback was necessary for this volume.

Lift original spine and mount on Japanese tissue, reback volume using dyed Hewit's calfskin, adhere original spine. Consolidate paper over the boards. Reinforce inner joints with Japanese tissue.
